Waddy Point is the first campsite that Cooinda uses west of Main Site. Camping permits are obtained from Parks Victoria. It is a large point that protrudes south into Lake Victoria. The bush is dense and consists mainly of Gums and Banksias. The sand is a little more coarse and the beaches slightly rocky.
Cooinda uses camping sites at the base of the point because it is much more sheltered. A great place for fishing and games in the bush, Waddy Point is more secluded than other Cooinda destinations.
The tip of Waddy Point sticks right out into the middle of Lake Victoria. It can get quite rough in South Westerly winds and is a great place to experience the strength of Mother Nature on the lakes while still being on solid ground.
