Sperm Whale Head is a large spit of land sticking out into Lake Victoria. Point Wilson is the most prominant part as it is a sandy point (mostly underwater) that sticks out so far that it needs a marker to warn pasing boats.

Point Wilson can be accessed via boat and car. However to get from camp to Point Wilson a car must go right around Lake King and almost to Sale. A canoe can get there faster! Point Wilson also has a large Jetty and picnic facilities.

Although camping is not alowed at Point Wilson the shelter and large grassy area are perfect for lunch stops, games and just relaxing. Often patrols rest at Point Wilson if they are early for a crossing. It is also a great place to stop for lunch on a short Day Sail.
