Camp Cooinda is a boating camp with waterfront on a fabulous sandy beach. We offer canoeing, sailing, kayaking, fishing, archery, hiking, campfire cooking and overnight expeditions around the Gippsland Lakes in eastern Victoria, including Cooinda's own island. Camp Cooinda operates camps only in summer school holidays.
Summer camps 2009-2010 provided great experiences and finished in January
The outline below for those camps gives you an idea of last summer’s program. Details for next summer will be announced in September 2010.
Camp One
Tuesday 29th December 2009 to Tuesday 5th January 2010
8 days, 7 nights
For ages 12 to 18 years
Cost: $330 plus bus travel*
To celebrate Camp Cooinda’s 50th year, this camp includes “The Narguns”, a special
group for experienced campers in the age range 16 to 19 years.
Camp Two
Saturday 9th January 2010 to Friday 15th January 2010
7 days, 6 nights
For ages 12 to 18 years
Cost: $295 plus bus travel*
* Chartered bus travel from Melbourne to the site on the Gippsland Lakes and return is available for $70.

The Camp Cooinda brochure and application form for the coming 2010 -2011 summer camps will be available in September 2010. Applications open on 1st October and close when each camp reaches the maximum number set to maintain the quality of our program.
